The human intellect, then closed by illiteracy and dominated by superstition, opens up a new way of thinking. Re Nero is a tribute to the literary king of the Enlightenment, Denis Diderot, and to his dynamic spirit. In this way, Re Nero symbolizes the overcoming of old patterns.
